History: 2011: Bartenbrug 's-Hertogenbosch
The Bartenbrug is a bridge over the River Aa in ’s-Hertogenbosch. The old bridge from 1937 was in poor condition and needed to be replaced.
The demolition of the old bridge had already started, but the design of the new bridge proved technically unfeasible.
From June 2012, the old bridge was no longer usable, leaving Den Bosch with a partially demolished bridge. Janson Bridging was commissioned by the contractor to install a temporary steel bridge over the partially demolished bridge. This was because the accessibility of this part of the city center was acutely at risk.
The JSK type beam bridge was installed at the end of November 2012 and opened for one-way car traffic towards Hinthamereind. The Grote Optocht also used this bridge.
After the removal of this bridge and the partial construction of the new Bartenbrug, obstructions arose once again, and we were asked again for a temporary bridge, this time a JSB-1 bridge with a width of 3.5 meters. That one also functioned well until the current new Bartenbrug was put into use.
